Ringing Rocks County Park

Ringing Rocks County Park

Ringing Rocks County Park, Ringing Rocks Rd, Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972, USA

About

A seven-acre field of boulders that ring like bells when you hit them with a hammer... and nobody can fully explain why.  The rocks are dense volcanic diabase, but most boulder fields like this don't ring at all. Bring your own hammer, pick a rock, and start tapping... some chime high and clear, others barely make a sound.  A short trail past the field leads to Bucks County's largest waterfall.  Free, open sunrise to sunset year-round. Sturdy shoes strongly recommended.
