The most laid-back playground in Central Park, and the only one without a fence, water feature, or paving. Swings and exercise bars are installed right among the pine trees of the Arthur Ross Pinetum, with picnic tables scattered throughout. The appeal is the setting, swinging toward the treetops surrounded by evergreens near the Great Lawn. Worth knowing it's really just swings, so pair it with nearby Turtle Pond or Belvedere Castle for a fuller outing.
