Pier 26 Science Playground in Hudson River Park is the one with the two giant fish that kids can actually climb inside and over. It’s compact, fully fenced, and feels very NYC in the best way. The fish are the main event, and everything is built around them, so kids stay focused instead of scattering. It’s free, right along the Hudson, and surprisingly manageable even on busy days because the layout is contained.
