The North Pole Express at Boothbay Railway Village Museum is a sweet, old-fashioned holiday train ride where kids hop onto a vintage steam or diesel car and ride out to the “North Pole” to meet Santa. After the 40ish minute trip, you can wander the museum’s decorated village for cocoa, crafts, and a little extra holiday magic. For 2025, trains run December 6-7, 13-14, and 20-21, with departures beginning late morning, and tickets are $21 for ages 3+
