A massive fort built in 1776 to try to stop a British invasion, right across the water from Fort Ticonderoga in New York. It's one of the least disturbed Revolutionary War sites in the whole country, so kids can walk the actual grounds and trails where soldiers camped and fought. Paid admission required.
