Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park is part mansion tour, part outdoor adventure.  Families join ranger-led tours inside the historic home to see how three different families lived here, then head outside to hike easy carriage roads and trails through the working forest.  Open May–October, it’s a good half-day stop for school-age kids who like history, balanced with time outdoors.
