Magic Mountain is a classic Vermont ski hill that draws families and skiers who want terrain that actually challenges them.  The trails skew steeper and more technical than many similarly sized mountains, which makes lessons especially useful if kids are moving beyond beginner slopes.  It has a very ski-focused, local feel, with just enough base-area energy to regroup after a solid day on snow.
