Lake Sophia at Sojourner Truth State Park

A former quarry turned swim spot, turquoise water from the limestone. A floating, netted pool sits over the shallow area for kids and new swimmers, roped off from a separate deep-water area in the lake (14-15 ft) for stronger swimmers. Bathhouse with changing rooms and showers on site. No food or drink in the swim area, so plan snacks for before or after. Set inside a 500-acre park with Hudson River views and a ridge trail around the lake.
