A family-favorite hike in South Mountain Reservation in South Orange, NJ. A short, wide, well-marked trail leads to a dramatic 25-foot waterfall tumbling over boulders into a small pool. The loop is 1.6–1.8 miles round trip from Tulip Springs parking, or as short as 1.2 miles from the smaller lot off South Orange Ave. Free, dog-friendly (on leash), open year-round, and stunning when the falls freeze in winter.
