This museum sits right inside Point State Park, and was built on the spot where a colonial-era fort once stood guard over the young city of Pittsburgh. Kids can walk the park grounds (for free) first, then head into the museum for hands-on exhibits on the French and Indian War, plus a huge fountain nearby to cool off in after.
