City of Lights is a free holiday event in downtown Lowell that happens on Saturday, November 29, 2025, and it’s a full day of holiday fun! Wreath decorating, an outdoor holiday market, open art studios, kids’ crafts, and the hot chocolate competition that everyone talks about. The parade starts at 4:30 pm and leads straight into the tree and smokestack lighting around 5:15 pm.
