This free observation deck opened in 2026, over 500 feet up in the cupola of the historic David N. Dinkins Municipal Building, open to the public for the first time since it was built in 1914. Small groups of five get an escorted trip up for sweeping views stretching from the Empire State Building to the harbor, with the East River bridges laid out below. Reservations are required and free, released on the first of each month, walk-ins aren't accepted.
