The oldest fish hatchery in the entire Western Hemisphere, founded in 1864... it still operates today and produces nearly all of New York State's two-year-old brown trout. It's a self-guided visit with a display pond full of big brown trout and a lake sturgeon, a creekside walking path, picnic tables, and fish food dispensers for a quarter that the kids will absolutely love. Free to visit. Open daily year-round, 8am-4pm.
