From late November through early January, the Bronx Zoo becomes a glow-filled adventure with millions of lights and hundreds of animal-shaped lanterns wind through trails after dark (select nights only). Tickets are required in advance, and you’ll want to plan for an evening visit... the zoo’s animal exhibits shut down around 4pm, lights trail starts around 5pm. Best tip: bundle up, bring a stroller if you’ve got little ones, and aim for a weeknight to skip crowds and really soak in the sparkle.
